E/M DOCUMENTATION FOR PHYSICIANS AND NON-PHYSICIAN
PROVIDERS
E/M DOCUMENTATION AND CODING FOR THE EMERGENCY
ROOM
TOP 10 REASONS NOT TO ATTEND DR. WEINMAN'S DOCUMENTATION
SEMINAR
- I don't care if I'm paid for what I do.
- I'm sure my documentation complies with the regulations,
since I'm a good doctor.
- Why should I spend time and money on this when I could buy an expensive
medical records computer system?
- How bad could a Medicare audit be?
- I've been thinking about spending a few hours developing my own
system.
- Why fool with coding, I've got an office staff to do that stuff.
(For your sake don't say this in your office)
- If Medicare fines me for non-compliance, I'll consider it a
patriotic privilege to help reduce the national debt.
- I'll just put this notice aside and mull it over for a few years - I
really don't need anything I didn't learn in my training.
- What could I possibly learn about documentation and compliance from
a physician colleague that I can't get from reading the CPT coding
book.
...and the top reason for not attending Dr. Weinman's seminar
:
- I'd rather see more patients to increase my income, than be
paid more for patients I already see.
